The Raman Research Institute (RRI), funded by the Government of India, is inviting applications for two temporary Research Assistant (RA) positions in the Soft Condensed Matter Group. Raman Research Institute Roles and Responsibilities

The selected candidates will contribute to:

1. Developing particle-based simulations and Linear Response Theory for driven soft amorphous matter.
2. Creating simulations and analytical frameworks for non-reciprocal systems and odd granular matter in the Soft, Living & Intelligent Matter Group under PI: Dr. Rituparno Mandal.

Remuneration

• Salary: ₹31,000/- per month (consolidated) + House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc./M.Tech or B.E./B.Tech in any relevant field.
  • Moderate knowledge of statistical mechanics and some exposure to soft condensed matter.

Desirable Skills

• Expertise in coding (C, FORTRAN, Python preferred).
• Familiarity with:
  • Particle-based simulations and spin-model simulations.
  • Analytical calculations using tools like Mathematica.
  • Advanced data analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of AI or Machine Learning tools (unsupervised learning, deep neural networks, etc.) is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Age Limit

• Maximum: 35 years (as on the application closing date).
• Relaxation as per Govt. of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
