The National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, is conducting walk-in interviews for the recruitment of Senior Research Fellows (SRFs) in the Pesticide Management Division under the MPRNL Project. The engagement is purely contractual and initially for six months, one year, or until the project period ends, whichever is earlier.
Senior Research Fellow Recruitment (Pesticide Management Division – MPRNL Project)
- Number of Positions: 2
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Agri. Chemistry/Environmental Science/Agriculture with specialization in Entomology or Pathology.
- Candidates with postgraduate degrees in basic sciences should have a NET qualification and two years of research experience.
- M.Sc candidates in Environmental Science or Agriculture must have 3 months of experience in Pesticide Residue Analysis.
- Age Limit:
- 35 years for Men
- 40 years for Women
- Salary:
- ₹31,000 per month (1st and 2nd year)
- ₹35,000 per month (3rd year)
- Selected candidates will be provided quarters as per NIPHM norms. HRA will not be applicable if quarters are allotted.

Key Duties for SRF:
- Collecting samples from markets and farm gates.
- Preparing and processing samples for pesticide residue analysis.
- Operating instruments like GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS.
- Maintaining analytical instruments and technical records.
- Liaising with quality management systems and performing other assigned tasks.
General Terms & Conditions:
- The position is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project.
- Candidates will undergo an understudy period of two months, with 50% of the monthly salary.
- Performance will be assessed, and contracts may be terminated with one month’s notice.
- Candidates must reside in NIPHM quarters or within 3 km of the institute.
- Selected candidates will have no claim for regularization or absorption in NIPHM.
