1. Eligibility: Ex-Servicemen, JCO in the Army, or other paramilitary forces with 5 years of experience in security work.
2. Skills:
   • Proficiency in Hindi and English (verbal and written communication).
   • Basic computer knowledge.
   • Awareness of modern firefighting and security monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities of CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar

1. Ensuring round-the-clock security of office premises, guest houses, staff quarters, and the campus.
2. Handling tasks related to vigilance, intelligence, fire-fighting, and safety standards.
3. Regulating movement of persons and goods.
4. Liaising with local police and other authorities.
5. Supervising security personnel and maintaining security records.

Selection Process

1. Stage I: Skill/Physical and Personality Assessment Test
   • Physical Standards:
     • Male (General): Height 167 cm, Chest (Unexpanded) 80 cm, (Expanded) 85 cm.
     • Female (General): Height 157 cm.
   • Physical Test:
     • Running: 1600 m (Male) in 6 min 30 secs, 800 m (Female) in 4 min.
     • Other Tests: Long jump, chin-ups (for males), push-ups, and sit-ups.
   • Personality Test: OMR-based or Computer-Based Objective Test covering general intelligence, reasoning, problem-solving, and situational judgment.
2. Stage II: Competitive Written Examination
   • Subjects: Comprehension, report writing, security regulations, firefighting, and general awareness.
   • Marks: 100
   • Duration: 2 hours
   • Merit List: Based on performance in the written test. Minimum threshold marks: 35%.
